Monterey Jack



An American original created near Monterey, California in the 1890’s- we pay homage here in Kentucky by trying to keep this as creamy and buttery as possible, while maintaining the slight tanginess that Jack cheeses are known for. This is the perfect melting cheese, and when still cool can be grated over mexican dishes or mixed with other more full-bodied cheeses to make a delectable grilled cheese. On its own, our Monterey Jack is a real treat, with an incredible amount of buttery depth. This works as a nice sub for “mild cheddar” as well.
